Patience in Faith, Part 2- Bliss & Fire Network Weekly Digest - March 11, 2014

  |   Author: Pastor Wales Goriola

“For ye have need of patience, that, after ye have done the will of God, ye might receive the promise.” –Hebrews 10:36 (KJV)

EXPLORATION

Applying Faith to Patience as a Virtue is one of the greatest values a Christian believer can exhibit to manifest the blessings, the promises, and actualization of one’s desires.

In our last digest, we established that Patience in Faith is required to be a carrier of the Anointing. In this digest, we will explore Patience in Faith as a requirement to actualize GOD’s Promises, Vision, and Purpose in Life. (Isaiah 14: 24, Isaiah 46: 10)

“For I know the thoughts and plans that I have for you, says the Lord, thoughts and plans for welfare and peace and not for evil, to give you hope in your final outcome.” –Jeremiah 29: 11

INSPIRATION

The Lord said to me, saying, “Promises, Vision, and Purpose in life require patience in Faith to be actualized” We also know that God called Abraham and said “And I will make of thee a great nation, and I will bless thee, and make thy name great; and thou shalt be a blessing: And I will bless them that bless thee, and curse him that curseth thee: and in thee shall all families of the earth be blessed.” –Genesis 12:2-3

And Abraham patiently awaits the manifestation of the promises in faith and in love toward God. Abraham left Haran with God's promise that he would be blessed with a child. (Genesis 12:3, 15:4-5) At that time, he was seventy five years old. Incidentally, Abraham stayed for ten years without this promise fulfilled. With Abraham at 85 years and Sarah, 75, there seemed to be no possibility of bearing children at that age, considering the natural course of the human life. (Genesis 18:11 - 12) But, in due season the word of God came to pass in his Life. (Genesis 22:3)

Joseph, on his own part, endures all prosecution and situations that came his way—standing in Trust, Obedience to God, and in the Love of God—in the face of difficulties, lies, and false accusation he maintained his faith in God (Genesis 39:11-20). And in due season he manifested the promises, and the purpose of God for his life and generation. (Genesis 41:39-41)

David was ordained and Anointed as king over Israel by Samuel at the commandment of God—a defined promise of God for him to reign over the throne of Israel. (1 Samuel 16:13)

He had to go through tribulations, difficulties, and even provocation by King Saul, but he remained faithful in patience to actualize the promises of God and purpose for his life and generation. Hence, his due season came and the word of God came to pass in his life.  (2 Samuel 5:1-3)

We can go on and on… to see how the great men and women of God in the past actualized their God given promises, vision, and purpose in life. And we can understand that Jesus Christ is the same Yesterday, Today, and Forever... (Hebrews 13:8) His word, promises, vision, and purpose for our lives shall be fulfilled—but we need Patience! We need Faith! We need to Diligence in our love and service to God. (Hebrews 11:8-9)

Blessings, Miracles Healing, Deliverance, and Breakthrough—these are promises of Grace for every believer in Christ and can be immediately manifested by Faith through Christ.  As believers we have to be able to separate these from the Purpose, Vision, and Promise of God for our lives. In many cases, the Lord will always personalized His promises, vision, and purpose for each of us—we need to understand these promises and purpose, and covenant it all with the Lord. Remember, there are personalized purpose, vision, and promises like we saw in the lives of Joseph, David, Moses, Joshua, and Paul—to name a few.

This week: As believers in Christ, we need to be Patience in Faith to actualize God’s Promises, Vision, and Purpose for our lives. God has ordained it all, but your Patience is required—your Faith is required—and you will actualize it all.

Surely, your Due Season shall come to pass. Amen!

Remember the Bible says, “And what shall I more say? for the time would fail me to tell of Gedeon, and of Barak, and of Samson, and of Jephthae; of David also, and Samuel, and of the prophets: Who through faith subdued kingdoms, wrought righteousness, obtained promises, stopped the mouths of lions.” –Hebrews 11:32-33

We are praying for you,
