Lifesong-Casting Crowns

Review:

Casting Crowns took the Christian Music scene by storm with their debut release in 2003. It had to be a HUGE challenge to produce a sophmore project that could meet or beat the original ... but Casting Crowns was up to the challenge.

Lifesong once again challenges the church with powerful lyrics:

"Does Anybody Hear Her" talks of a woman in pain, making all of the wrong decisions in her life. Yet the church is so busy judging her, that they are blind to her pain.

Mark Hall says, "They are all around us. To become numb to their pain is to become numb to the very heart of God and the suffering of His only Son."

"Stained Glass Masquerade" follows the same lines, reminding the church that none of us are perfect, but when we try to act as though we are, while in church with our peers, we become "Happy plastic people under shiny plastic steeples with walls around our weakness and smiles to hide our pain."

"Love Them Like Jesus",

"Just love her like Jesus. Carry her to Him."

"Father, Spirit, Jesus" - It's easy to sing along with, has lyrics that really tap you on the shoulder as a reminder of what worship should be, and has enough of a rock sound to keep your attention.

"Prodigal" could be the life story of pretty much anybody that I know.

"Welcome to my world, and the life that I have made. Where one day you're a prince, the next day you're a slave."
