Success Scripture January 27, 2009

Purity Of The Mind 

"The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked: who can know it? I the LORD search the heart, I try the reins, even to give every man according to his ways, and according to the fruit of his doings." - Jeremiah 17:9-10 (KJV)
"For as he thinketh in his heart, so is he: Eat and drink, saith he to thee; but his heart is not with thee." - Proverbs 23:7 (KJV)

EXPLORATION

The mind is the control station of a person's life. It's the mind that decides what a person does, either in word or action. The kind of thoughts that regularly flow through one's mind will eventually form the person's behavior. God made man perfect. (Genesis 1:31) But man became different in his thoughts after he fall (i.e. became Sinner).

Sin has separated us away from God and the gap created by this action has been filled by the evil which grows from the heart. Time after time we have even seen men who preach the gospel of Jesus Christ our Lord out of unpurified mind disappointing the gospel by performing the evil acts of their mind. We have read stories of church leaders caught in the acts that disappoint God. This tells us that a purified mind/heart is very important.

INSPIRATION

In Paul's epistle to the Philippians, he counseled on what should constantly form their thoughts. He said: "Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things." - Philippians 4:8.

This week: What's in your mind? Are you going to allow the evil, unholy and pervert thought to fill your mind? Or are you going to repent of it and cry to God to purify your mind today. God cannot do it until you request for HIM to do it for you ("Ask, and It Will Be Given" - Matthew 7:7-11). No one is holy exempt God, the Holy One. Only He is holy. But glory be to Him, in that HE grants us His holiness through His Son Jesus Christ.

Beloved if you have accepted Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior you have received the gift of His holiness, It now remains for you to keep this precious gift by living in HIM and asking Him, through His Holy Spirit, to daily purify your "Heart/Mind". And, if you have not, it's not too late. You can receive "Salvation" by repenting and accepting Jesus as your savior. Studying and meditating on the WORD of God along with our determination to do the "will" of God always keeps us pure in Mind. - Eph. 5:25-26, John 15:3.

Remember the Bible says: "How much more shall the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered himself without spot to God, purge your conscience from dead works to serve the living God?" - Hebrews 9:14.

DECLARATION

I forgive these who offended Me
"I am beautifully created." - Genesis 1:31
I rejected Pride and Hatred.
My heart and mind his sanctified by the WORD of God which is TRUTH.
The blood of Christ purges my mind from all dead works.
