Too often we let our fears of what lies ahead keep us from receiving the full blessing that God has in store for us just like the Children of Israel did. Only two, Joshua and Caleb, saw the "Promise" and all the other spies saw the "Problems".
EXPLORATION
The Lord God declared the victory from the beginning of the children of Israelite’s journey to the Promise Land. HE spoke to Moses what HE wanted to do. But as the journey began, the children of Israel saw an obstacle in every step because they took their eye off their God. The God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob—the God that bore them on HIS Eagle wings and who performed great wonders in their midst—and delivered them from the hands of their enemies.
The Promise Land is meant for those that Believe and Trust in their God.
The Bible says: "Seeing therefore it remaineth that some must enter therein, and they to whom it was first preached entered not in because of unbelief:" –Hebrews 4:6.
They let their fears appear larger than God's provision and now we know the price they paid for doing that.
INSPIRATION
God knew the enemies the children of Israel faced going into the "Promised Land" and HE had already made provision for His children to have victory. HE has done the same thing for us in this generation. HE wants us to live in abundance and be a blessing to others but we cannot do that if we don't occupy the place of Blessings. We can't experience the flow of a river from the bank of the river and we can't experience the flow of God's blessing unless we are in its "flow", too.
Joshua understood this; he kept his focus on God seeing the Promise Land as God has promised it. He refused to let fear of the unseen appear larger than his God’s provision. And so he entered into the season of Provision, Blessings and Abundance.
And Joshua said, "And now, behold, the Lord hath kept me alive, as he said, these forty and five years, even since the Lord spake this word unto Moses, while the children of Israel wandered in the wilderness: and now, lo, I am this day fourscore and five years old. As yet I am as strong this day as I was in the day that Moses sent me: as my strength was then, even so is my strength now, for war, both to go out, and to come in." - Joshua 14:10-11
If we feel like we are not making any progress toward what we know that God has promised to provide us, then, maybe we only need to look at our own disobedience to find the cause. Christian life is a "battleground" and not a "playground". Put on the whole armor of God and take your "Promised Land!"
This week, we pray and declare that, in all that you Do… in all that you Live… the LORD shall keep your Ways and preserve your Life. HE shall keep ALL HE has given unto you. In your going Out, HE will keep you and order your ways in HIS Goodness. In your Returning, HIS Fire shall be your Guide. Amen!
The Bible says, "The Lord shall preserve thee from all evil: he shall preserve thy soul. The Lord shall preserve thy going out and thy coming in from this time forth, and even for evermore." - Psalm 121:7-8
And, remember the Bible says, "He will not suffer thy foot to be moved: he that keepeth thee will not slumber. Behold, he that keepeth Israel shall neither slumber nor sleep. The Lord is thy keeper: the Lord is thy shade upon thy right hand." - Psalm 121:3-5
You are blessed, we love you!
