The House of Mercy - Bliss & Fire Network Weekly Digest - February 2, 2015

“...at Jerusalem by the sheep market a pool, which is called in the Hebrew tongue Bethesda, having five porches. In these lay a great multitude of impotent folk, of blind, halt, withered, waiting for the moving of the water. For an angel went down at a certain season into the pool, and troubled the water: whosoever then first after the troubling of the water stepped in was made whole of whatsoever disease he had.” –John 5:2-4

EXPLORATION

This pool, above, had five porches and was called Bethesda—in Hebrew, meaning “House of Mercy.” According to the Scriptures, this place is filled with people with varying illnesses looking forward to being healed by the water once they are able to get into it when it was stirred by an angel of the Lord that came once in a Season to stir the pool. And whosoever then first stepped into the water after the angel has stirred it would be made whole of whatsoever disease the person may have.

Hence the chances of being the first to step into the water to be healed is very small when taking into account the multitude who also waiting.  

INSPIRATION

The Bible says, “…a certain man was there, which had an infirmity thirty and eight years. When Jesus saw him lie, and knew that he had been now a long time in that case, he saith unto him, Wilt thou be made whole?" –John 5:5-6

The situation of this man has been so long that all his friends and families have deserted him and left him alone to his faith. Nevertheless, he has hope, and believes that if he can just get into pool … he will be healed.

This man never knew that, the Word of GOD was right in there with him the day of his miracle, he never had the understanding that JESUS CHRIST—the Savior of the world, the Healer and the Son of the Living GOD was right there with him—offering to save him from the bondage of sickness.

Just like many people today, they stay by the gate to the house of Mercy but they could not obtain mercy, but as many that come to Jesus Christ, the Savior, shall obtain Mercy. Friends and family may desert you in the time of trouble and trials—but when you keep your eye and focus on the Lord in faith—you will surely obtain Mercy unto Transformation.

"When Jesus saw him lie, and knew that he had been now a long time in that case, he saith unto him, Wilt thou be made whole? The impotent man answered him, Sir, I have no man, when the water is troubled, to put me into the pool: but while I am coming, another steppeth down before me. Jesus saith unto him, Rise, take up thy bed, and walk." -John 5:6-8

And even though you obtain Mercy, and your trials and troubles have been turned into testimony—the world will still question your testimony and, if possible, they want to destroy it or take away your testimony, because they prefer you with your problems and old situations. Just as they questioned the testimony of this man who had an infirmity for thirty and eight years. (John 5:10)   

This week: I do not know what your situation is… or the trials you may be facing right now! All I can see is that you have been in that condition and situation for so long… now I ask the same question just as Jesus Christ my Lord and personal Savior asked the man by the pool at the “House of Mercy.” Will thou be made whole? And if your answer is “Yes,” I command you by the Power and Authority in the name of JESUS CHRIST “Rise, take up your bed, and walk!” Rise and be made WHOLE! Amen. Let your Joy be filled and sin no more.

Remember, the Bible says: "And when he had said this, he breathed on them, and saith unto them, Receive ye the Holy Ghost: Whose soever sins ye remit, they are remitted unto them; and whose soever sins ye retain, they are retained." -John 20: 22-23
