"O the depth of the riches both of the wisdom and knowledge of God! how unsearchable are his judgments, and his ways past finding out!" - Romans 11:33
EXPLORATION
Definition: Knowledge is information obtained by a person either through hearing or seeing. It could be experience based on what he feels, tastes or smells. Knowledge is increased as man moves from place to place and interacts with different people. More knowledge makes a person wiser than his fellows. But no being has ever acquired the knowledge of everything in the whole universe no matter how widely traveled except God.
INSPIRATION
The holy scriptures tell us that God is omnipresent, that is, he is present everywhere. By simple logic, because God is present everywhere, he knows what happens everywhere. He has timeless past and his future is eternal. The timelessness of God’s past makes HIM have knowledge of things that existed even before man was created. Because HE inhabits eternity, HE also knows what shall happen throughout eternity. (Isaiah 57:15a) The infinite knowledge of God is what gives us confidence in what HE foretells through biblical prophecy- Because HE knows the past, the present and the future, HIS word is dependable.
Those who serve as counselors or consultants are able to do so by reason of superior knowledge. So, others approach them with the “confidence” that they are better informed, and are not likely to lead them astray. Man’s knowledge, whatever it's worth is limited and yet we have reasons to rely on it. Because man’s knowledge is limited, it is therefore not dependable. But God's knowledge is total and perfect and therefore dependable.
The infinite knowledge of God is further described in this scripture: “Known unto God are all his works from the beginning of the world.” - Acts 15:18 (Psalm 139:1-12)
In giving further details of the infinite knowledge of God, we should know that:
a) Because he made us he knows the working of our body, soul and spirit.
b) He knows the past, present and the future, so we can rely on him for guidance
c) Even invisible things and creatures in this world are known to him.
d) He knows the mystery of man's existence and his eternal future.
e) The thoughts of man's heart are not hidden from God.
These with others are what make the knowledge of God perfect.
All these show that every aspect of man's life, whether social, spiritual, intellectual, emotional, psychological or physical, is known to God. So, if there is any being most qualified to give counsel to man on how to live every aspect of his life in this world and be successful and happy, it is God. No one has seen God at any time, but he has given us his word through the Holy Bible to guide, and lead us in the things we should do and things we should not do in life. He said to Joshua: “This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success.” – (Joshua 1:8)
Having realized that there is no way man’s knowledge can be measured with that of God; it is then foolishness to question the purpose, commandment, ordinances and judgment of God. Due to inferior knowledge, most times, people misunderstand the purpose of God. As a result, they disobey Him and so, keep having friction and crisis in their lives. This chaos will always remain except they bow to the superior knowledge of God. To those who have had to question the word of God, he says: “For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, saith the LORD. For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts.” – (Isaiah 55:8-9)
This week: Just as Paul applauded the infinite knowledge of God, he said: “O the depth of the riches both of the wisdom and knowledge of God! How UNSEARCHABLE are his judgments, and his ways past finding out! For who hath known the mind of the Lord? or who hath been his counsellor?” – (Romans 11:33-34)
The word of God has given in the Holy Bible reveals the superior knowledge God. The word is called the TRUTH. Jesus said: “And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.” – (John 8:32)
Jesus further said to his disciples, “I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.” – (John 14:6). Jesus Christ is the embodiment of the Truth—believe and faith in HIM opens a new horizon in a man’s life in which he gets superior knowledge from the superior (Eternal life!).
The Truth shall make a way for you as you depend on GOD as your source for knowledge and understanding. HE is the source of your Finances, your Health, and your Joy. Amen!
Remember the Bible says, “Thus saith the LORD, Let not the wise man glory in his wisdom, neither let the mighty man glory in his might, let not the rich man glory in his riches: But let him that glorieth glory in this, that he understandeth and knoweth me, that I am the LORD which exercise lovingkindness, judgment, and righteousness, in the earth: for in these things I delight, saith the LORD.” – (Jeremiah 9:23-24)
“Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding.” – (Proverbs 3:5)
God bless you,
We love you!
