A Clean Heart

"Create in me a clean heart, O God; and renew a right spirit within me. Cast me not away from thy presence; and take not thy holy spirit from me. Restore unto me the joy of thy salvation; and uphold me with thy free spirit." - Psalm 51:10-12

“…But he is a Jew, which is one inwardly; and circumcision is that of the heart, in the spirit, and not in the letter; whose praise is not of men, but of God.” - Romans 2:28-29

EXPLORATION

The manifestation of a clean heart depends on our total submission to the Holy Spirit of God in our life.

David in his time; longing for the Joy of Salvation – He declared “Create in me a clean heart, O God; and renew a right spirit within me…” - Psalm 51:10. In expectation of what God has promised us, HIS people, HIS salvation by the faith when we repent, confess and believe in Jesus Christ and receive the gift of God “Salvation”.  

The Bible says: "And the LORD said, My spirit shall not always strive with man, for that he also is flesh: yet his days shall be an hundred and twenty years." - Genesis 6:3

God will not force a clean heart on you. You have to ask, submit and obey the WORD of GOD, abide in the HOLY GHOST to dwell in a clean heart.

INSPIRATION

Beloved, don’t be deceived, a clean heart start with your repentant heart. God has promise us a new heart and a regenerated Spirit when we come unto HIM. When we receive Jesus Christ as our Lord and personal Savior; that is when you are Born Again of the Spirit of God.

The Bible says: "Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new." - 2 Corinthians 5:17

The promises of God are for you, me and for the whole world – regardless of where you are born or raised, whether one race or the other it doesn’t matter; old or young it does not matter, the Word of God gives assurance for us all.

Here is what God declared through prophet Ezekiel: "A new heart also will I give you, and a new spirit will I put within you: and I will take away the stony heart out of your flesh, and I will give you an heart of flesh. And I will put my spirit within you, and cause you to walk in my statutes, and ye shall keep my judgments, and do them." -Ezekiel 36:26-27

This I called the enablement to do all things in HIM. The enablement to know HIM, love HIM, to obey HIM and keep HIS statues. These HE has already given to you.  

The process and manifestation of a clean heart in the outward man can also be called “Sanctification” (Inner Cleansing). This is the point where a believer receives a new Christ-like' nature which hates sin and loves righteousness in obeying God as we are made pure at heart.

Remember the Bible says: “…But he is a Jew, which is one inwardly; and circumcision is that of the heart, in the spirit, and not in the letter; whose praise is not of men, but of God.” - Romans 2:28-29

A pure and clean heart is the one that has been circumcised by the Spirit of God.  A spiritual circumcision!

The heart is purged from all dead works: "How much more shall the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered himself without spot to God, purge your conscience from dead works to serve the living God?" -Hebrews 9:14  

God has done HIS part by granting us all that received HIM a regenerated heart after HIS own Spirit. The manifestation is ours; we need to do our part, we need to take steps to allow the inward man to manifest in the outward man.

We have to put off the old man, which is corrupt according to the deceitful lusts, hatred, pride, envy, unforgiving …etc.

Sometime I feel ashamed to see some Christian leaders, and believers saying a lot of hateful words to others because they don’t believe them or hold the same value and ideology.  

"If so be that ye have heard him, and have been taught by him, as the truth is in Jesus: That ye put off concerning the former conversation the old man, which is corrupt according to the deceitful lusts; And be renewed in the spirit of your mind; And that ye put on the new man, which after God is created in righteousness and true holiness."-Ephesians 4:21-24       

Jesus says: "Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye are like unto whited sepulchres, which indeed appear beautiful outward, but are within full of dead men's bones, and of all uncleanness." - Matthew 23:27

This Week: Let us choose to obey and dwell in the unfailing love of the Lord God in all that we do. By this, we will allow the inward man to take control of the outward man in our lives.

Apostle Peter says: "Seeing ye have purified your souls in obeying the truth through the Spirit unto unfeigned love of the brethren, see that ye love one another with a pure heart fervently:" - 1 Peter 1:22

Remember the Bible says: "For all things are for your sakes, that the abundant grace might through the thanksgiving of many redound to the glory of God. For which cause we faint not; but though our outward man perish, yet the inward man is renewed day by day. For our light affliction, which is but for a moment, worketh for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory." - 2 Corinthians 4:15-17
