An Effective Soul Winning

“Nevertheless the foundation of God standeth sure, having this seal, The Lord knoweth them that are his. And, let every one that nameth the name of Christ depart from iniquity. But in a great house there are not only vessels of gold and of silver, but also of wood and of earth; and some to honour, and some to dishonour. If a man therefore purge himself from these, he shall be a vessel unto honour, sanctified, and meet for the master's use, and prepared unto every good work.” - 2 Timothy 2:19-21 (KJV)

EXPLORATION

Soul winning as we know is the practice of preaching and presenting the Gospel of Jesus Christ to people (especially non-Christians). It is the great commission given by Christ to every believer, regardless of what part of the ministry you are called, and regardless of what Spiritual gift you function with. It is the process of multiplying, increase, and spiritual reproduction in the Body of Christ, if I may say.

Jesus says: “And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth. Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. Amen.” -Matthew 28:18-20

INSPIRATION

If the Lord God through His only begotten Son Jesus our Christ has saved us and has commanded His power unto us in Christ Jesus, then we must be ready to effectively carry out this great commission. There is always the benefit of doing God’s work efficiently because God will be happy with you and your joy will be full. The anointing flows without stress when we totally submit to the Will of God in doing what God expects of us.

The Bible says: “Ye are the light of the world. A city that is set on an hill cannot be hid. Neither do men light a candle, and put it under a bushel, but on a candlestick; and it giveth light unto all that are in the house. Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven.” -Matthew 5:14-16

For a believer to be effective in the work of soul winning, there are some biblical conditions to be met. They:

• Must have faith—believe what the scripture says in both the Old and New Testament. (Mark 11:22, Hebrews 11: 1-6, 2 Chronicles 20:20).
• Must have the Spirit of God dwelling in them and also be led by the Spirit. That is ye must be born again. (John 3:3-7; John 7:37-39. Ezekiel 2:1-5; Numbers 11:16-17.) The Bible says: “But ye are not in the flesh, but in the Spirit, if so be that the Spirit of God dwell in you. Now if any man have not the Spirit of Christ, he is none of his.” - Romans 8:9
• Must be living a holy life. That is keeping, living and increasing in the gift of the Holiness of God by the virtue of thy Salvation. (2 Corinthians 5:17-20, 2 Timothy 2:19-21, Ephesians 4:21-24)
• Should be a person who loves God with all their heart. God has commanded us to walk in His love. (Deuteronomy 10:12-13, 1 John 5:3, John 21:15-19, Romans 8:35-39, Philippians 3:7-10)
• Must be prepared to sacrifice anything even their own life to work for God. Because they love the Lord God. (2 Corinthians 11:23-28, Matthew 24:12-13, Acts 5:40-42, Romans 8:35-39, Philippians 3:7-10)
• Must who love God's work and God's people. (Joshua 1:8; Acts 20:28-32;1 Timothy 4:6)
• Must hate the devil, sin, worldliness, and covetousness. (1 John 2:15-17, John 17:16; James 4:4, 2 Timothy 2:4; Hebrews 11:24-25.)
• Must have no fear of man in them, but only the fear of God. (Hebrews 11:27, 1 Samuel 15:22-24,  Acts 4:18-20)

This week: Beloved, you have to take time and reflect on your attitude toward the great commission God has commanded all who has received Him. God wants you to fulfill in all things in life including His word and commission for you. Think over it. How effectively are you doing the work of the Lord your God? If we don’t answer it here on earth, we will surely answer it before His throne in heaven. This is assurance Jesus gave us—saying: “…All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth… I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. Amen.” -Matthew 28:18-20

Go ahead and be blessed this week as you carry out the great commission. Amen!
