Don't Go Without HIM

“Now therefore, I pray thee, if I have found grace in thy sight, shew me now thy way, that I may know thee, that I may find grace in thy sight: and consider that this nation is thy people. And he said, My presence shall go with thee, and I will give thee rest. And he said unto him, If thy presence go not with me, carry us not up hence.” - Exodus 33:13-15  

EXPLORATION

The presence of God is very important to the life of a believer. The moment we begin to do things without Him or without HIS consent as God in our life – we open the door for the enemy to lure us into the ungodly act. In as much HIS (God) presence is with us, HE also sanctifies us for HIMSELF to dwell in HIS presence.

Hence the Bible says: "But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin." -1 John 1:7

Moses understands this light and desire to remain in this light that he said: “If thy presence go not with me, carry us not up hence.” - Exodus 33:15

INSPIRATION

We have to reach a point of determination in our life and ministry – that we take a stand for HIM. God is not going to take that stand for us nor urge us to take the stand. It has to come from our Spirit out of the love we have for the Lord our God. We can see that the first Church in the wilderness, lead by Moses as God chose him to take HIS people to the Promised Land (The land of Canaan), lacked the LOVE of GOD. This is while after they had seen the glory of God – seen the miracle of the red sea, been fed with manna and dwelt under the cloud of HIS presence, lead by and preserved by the pillar of FIRE of God they still rejected HIM. They loved HIM not. But we know that to love HIM is to obey HIM. To obey HIM, is to obey HIS word.

HE Leads And We Follow.

If indeed God is the “All in All” of your life, then you need to allow HIM to lead you; to lead your marriage, your business, your career, your family and your nation.  See what happens when God leads you – when HIS presence goes before you.

His presence will bring the FEAR of GOD in your life and family, fear of God in the nation that loves HIM and trusts in HIM.

HIS Presence Brings HIS Love And Blessings.

Your fellowship becomes the fellowship of HIS love in Christ Jesus, and your camp will experience HIS unlimited favor and blessings. The blessing of the heaven, the earth, and beneath the earth will be made manifest in your life. The blessing of the womb and of the field will also overwhelm and over take you.

HIS Presence Drives Away The Enemy And Brings Fear Into Their Camp.

Because God is leading you and going before you as HE said in HIS word:

"Behold, I send an Angel before thee, to keep thee in the way, and to bring thee into the place which I have prepared." -Exodus 23:20

"And I will send an angel before thee; and I will drive out the Canaanite, the Amorite, and the Hittite, and the Perizzite, the Hivite, and the Jebusite:" - Exodus 33:2

Every problem or anything that represent the spiritual Amorite, Hittite, Perizzite, the Hivite, and the Jebusite in your life will receive the fear of God and be consume by God’s Fire. Deliverance over all problems becomes your portion.

God’s presence leading you and going before you brings HIS goodness, Grace and Mercy in your life and camp. (Exodus 33:15-19) Healing abounds in HIS camp.

We also need to know that HIS presence brings judgment to the ungodly or the disobedient.

Here is what HE said: “Beware of him, and obey his voice, provoke him not; for he will not pardon your transgressions: for my name is in him." -Exodus 23:21

Hence when HIS presence is not with thee or goes before thee, then destruction is on the way. This is what I called “On Your Own” or “O.Y.O”. I believe none of us want to be “OYO” Here is what happen to the Israelites when the where on their own.

“And the LORD said unto me, Say unto them. Go not up, neither fight; for I am not among you; lest ye be smitten before your enemies. So I spake unto you; and ye would not hear, but rebelled against the commandment of the LORD, and went presumptuously up into the hill. And the Amorites, which dwelt in that mountain, came out against you, and chased you, as bees do, and destroyed you in Seir, even unto Hormah. And ye returned and wept before the LORD; but the LORD would not hearken to your voice, nor give ear unto you.” - Deuteronomy 1:42-45

Finally, This week: When the Lord goes before thee HE will carry you on the eagle wings and a journey of seven days becomes a one day journey, forty years becomes a forty day journey, and you will dwell in HIS presence. His countenance will shine over you and over shadow you. Amen (Deuteronomy 1:34-40)
