Ignorant Of The Truth

The WORD of GOD establishes through the Holy Scriptures that there is no salvation in any other except in Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior.

"Brothers and sisters, my heart’s desire and prayer to God for the Israelites is that they may be saved. For I can testify about them that they are zealous for God, but their zeal is not based on knowledge. Since they did not know the righteousness of God and sought to establish their own, they did not submit to God’s righteousness. Christ is the culmination of the law so that there may be righteousness for everyone who believes." - Romans 10:1-4

EXPLORATION

The born-again syndrome has so much caught up with our time that it has become fashionable to be born again. While some have had the genuine experience of being born again and can truly testify to it, others claim to be but, in the real sense of the word they are not. This is because they are totally ignorant of what it takes to have the experience. It is not wise for a person to be a professor of what he does not possess. Hence every Gospel minister must not only have this spiritually transforming experience, but also be able to clearly and understandably teach others how they also can be born again.

He saw in a vision evidently about the ninth hour of the day an angel of God coming in to him, and saying unto him, Cornelius. And when he looked on him, he was afraid, and said, What is it, Lord? And he said unto him, Thy prayers and thine alms are come up for a memorial before God. And now send men to Joppa, and call for one Simon, whose surname is Peter: He lodgeth with one Simon a tanner, whose house is by the sea side: he shall tell thee what thou oughtest to do." - Acts 10:1-6

"There was a man of the Pharisees, named Nicodemus, a ruler of the Jews: The same came to Jesus by night, and said unto him, Rabbi, we know that thou art a teacher come from God: for no man can do these miracles that thou doest, except God be with him. Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God...." - John 3:1-3 (Read 1-10)

Befriending or helping Christians in the times of need does not get you born again. (Acts 10:l-10)

Falling in love with the way a pastor preaches or teaches does not mean you are born again.

The Bible say: "And it came to pass, as he spake these things, a certain woman of the company lifted up her voice, and said unto him, Blessed is the womb that bare thee, and the paps which thou hast sucked. But he said, Yea rather, blessed are they that hear the word of God, and keep it." - Luke 11: 27-28

Abstaining from some kinds of food or a particular way of dressing does not get you born again.

"Wherefore if ye be dead with Christ from the rudiments of the world, why, as though living in the world, are ye subject to ordinances, (Touch not; taste not; handle not; Which all are to perish with the using;) after the commandments and doctrines of men?" - Colossians 2:20-22

We have stated what it does not constitute being born again so that you may not have any false assurance of being born again and base your salvation on a shaky foundation.

This week: Let us fully understand that being born again is a spiritual rebirth and renewal of the heart which a person can get only through FAITH in JESUS CHRIST our Lord. This spiritual rebirth is absolutely essential to anyone who desires to live according to God's purpose for man's existence and, at the end, he will inherit the kingdom of God. It is not too late to make a change and get things right with GOD for HIS love towards us is unfailing.

If we live on the assumption of being born again while we are not. It’s like a “BAD CHECK” that will always bounce back when tender it at the bank.

Remember Jesus said: "...Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God." - John 3:3

You are blessed, we love you!
