Purity Of The Mind, A Key To Your Manifestation

"Blessed are the pure in heart: for they shall see God." - Matthew 5: 8 "If I regard iniquity in my heart, the Lord will not hear me:" - Psalm 66:18 "Then came Peter to him, and said, Lord, how oft shall my brother sin against me, and I forgive him? till seven times? Jesus saith unto him, I say not unto thee, Until seven times: but, Until seventy times seven." - Matthew 18:21-22

EXPLORATION

It is the human mind that decides what a person does either in word or action. Therefore, the mind is the control station of a person's life. And so, the kinds of thoughts that regularly go through his mind determine the kind of person he is or will eventually become. The Bible says: “For as he thinketh in his heart, so is he: Eat and drink, saith he to thee; but his heart is not with thee.”- Proverbs 23:7.

INSPIRATION

God made man good and perfect. (Genesis 1:31) But after the fall of man by his disobedience to God – The Bible says: “And God saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every imagination of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually. And it repented the LORD that he had made man on the earth, and it grieved him at his heart.” - Genesis 6:5-6. Jeremiah put it this way: “The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked: who can know it? I the LORD search the heart, I try the reins, even to give every man according to his ways, and according to the fruit of his doings.” - Jeremiah 17:9-10

This has become so because when man sinned, Satan took control of his mind. So, he is able to influence man's thoughts. Satan is evil and can only create evil thoughts and offer wicked suggestions. (Acts 5:3; John 13:2).  

There is nothing a person can do by himself to stop the influence of the devil because of his superior mental power to that of man. It is only the Lord Jesus Christ that can help man overcome the evil influence of Satan.

Jesus says: “He that committeth sin is of the devil; for the devil sinneth from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that he might destroy the works of the devil. Whosoever is born of God doth not commit sin; for his seed remaineth in him: and he cannot sin, because he is born of God. In this the children of God are manifest, and the children of the devil: whosoever doeth not righteousness is not of God, neither he that loveth not his brother.” - 1 John 3:8-10

And the Bible gave us the solution, saying: “How much more shall the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered himself without spot to God, purge your conscience from dead works (of sin) to serve the living God?”- Hebrews 9:14

“And almost all things are by the law purged with blood; and without shedding of blood is no remission.” - Hebrews 9:22. You need Jesus to be able to manifest the Glory of the Lord in your Life, to have a sound and pure mind.

You do know that even after you are born again, Satan still tries to bring ungodly thoughts to your mind: Thoughts of stealing, adultery, pride, fornication, lying, envy, hatred, revenge, unforgiveness, etc. 1 John 3:8-11, John 8:44.You need to reject and rebuke these evil thoughts anywhere, any time and in whatever way they come. The Bible says: “Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.” - James 4:7. In so doing, you'll maintain a sound and pure mind which is the only way you can enjoy a good relationship with God. "Blessed are the pure in heart for they shall see God" - Matthew 5:8

Paul was equally determined to maintain purity of the mind. In his devotion to God, he said: “And herein do I exercise myself, to have always a conscience void to offence toward God, and toward men.” -Acts 24:16 David also gives an insight into one of the ways a Christian could maintain purity of the mind.

He said “Wherewithal shall a young man cleanse his way? by taking heed thereto according to thy word. With my whole heart have I sought thee: O let me not wander from thy commandments. Thy word have I hid in mine heart, that I might not sin against thee.” - Psalm 119:9-11

Beloved! You have to be determined to study and meditate on the word of God. Be ready to do HIS will in season and out of season – this keep us always pure in mind. The Bible says: “Now ye are clean through the word which I have spoken unto you.” - John 15:3 (John 6:63, Ephesians 5:25-26)

This week: What's in your mind? What you watch, listen to, and read, all effect and influence your mind. Are you going to allow unholy, evil and perverted thought to fill your mind or your heart? Or are you going to repent of it and cry to God to purify your mind today that you may begin to manifest HIS Glory in your Life. God cannot do it until you request for HIM to do it for you ("Ask, and It Will Be Given" - Matthew 7:7-11). No one is holy exempt God, the Holy One. Only He is holy. Glory be unto Him our God, that – HE has granted us HIS holiness through HIS only begotten Son Jesus Christ. Amen!

Remember the Bible says: “Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things.” -Philippians 4:8
