Too often we let our fears of what lies ahead keep us from receiving the full blessing that God has in store for us just like the Children of Israel did. Only two, Joshua and Caleb, saw the "Promise" and all the other spies saw the "Problems". The Bible says: "Seeing therefore it remaineth that some must enter therein, and they to whom it was first preached entered not in because of unbelief:"- Hebrews 4:6. They let their fears appear larger than God's provision and we know the price they paid for doing that.
God knew the enemies they faced going into the "Promised Land" and had already made provision for His children to have victory. He has done the same thing for us. He wants us to live in abundance and be a blessing to others but we cannot do that if we don't occupy the place of blessing. We can't experience the flow of a river from the bank and we can't experience the flow of God's blessing unless we are in its "flow", too.
"And now, behold, the Lord hath kept me alive, as he said, these forty and five years, even since the Lord spake this word unto Moses, while the children of Israel wandered in the wilderness: and now, lo, I am this day fourscore and five years old. As yet I am as strong this day as I was in the day that Moses sent me: as my strength was then, even so is my strength now, for war, both to go out, and to come in." - Joshua 14:10-11
If we feel like we are not making any progress toward what we know that God has promised to provide us, then, maybe we only need to look at our own disobedience to find the cause.
Christian life is a "battleground" and not a "playground". Put on your armor and take your "Promised Land"!
You're blessed... be a blessing to others.
