The Expectations Of The Righteous

"For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the LORD, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end."  - Jeremiah 29:11

"So shall the knowledge of wisdom be unto thy soul: when thou hast found it, then there shall be a reward, and thy expectation shall not be cut off." - Proverbs 24:14

EXPLORATION

Expectations to the righteous one, it's like a life-line that draws one closer to the blessings of God each day. The more expectant you're concerning the promises of God in your life, the more you're drawn closer to the manifestation of HIS word, HIS promises and HIS blessings in your life. The Bible says: "My soul, wait thou only upon God; for my expectation is from him."- Psalm 62:5. Each time you are full of expectations of HIM that has called you and has redeemed you for HIS glory, you're repositioned to receive from HIM your God!

The Bible says: "Teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly, in this present world; Looking for that blessed hope, and the gloriousd appearing of the great God and our Saviour Jesus Christ; Who gave himself for us, that he might redeem us from all iniquity, and purify unto himself a peculiar people, zealous of good works." - Titus 2:12-14

INSPIRATION

Our expectations must be base or anchor on these three things:

  1. Faith toward God:
  2. Knowing him as God
  3. Love toward God

Faith Toward God

Our expectation must be in faith toward God, having the knowledge that HE can do all things. HE has the authority over all things for HE is the creator of all. When we approach the throne of grace each day in our prayers or worship, we have the expectation that if we can get to HIM our God; we will receive from HIM. The Bible says: "But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him." - Hebrews 11:6

If we are not expecting from God, in God, through God, then we can not receive from God. Remember you have heard of HIM, this brings faith to you toward HIM. I love the way Paul describe it, he said: "So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God." - Romans 10:17

The Bible also says: "Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen." - Hebrews 10:11

Knowing Him As God

Your understanding of HIM is very important. If you know HIM as the creator of all things in heaven, on earth and underth the earth then your expectations is in HIM.

God declared to mosses, HE said: "... I AM THAT I AM: and he said, Thus shalt thou say unto the children of Israel, I AM hath sent me unto you. And God said moreover unto Moses, Thus shalt thou say unto the children of Israel, The LORD God of your fathers, the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob, hath sent me unto you: this is my name for ever, and this is my memorial unto all generations." -Exodus 3:14-15 (Exodus 6:1-5)

And Jesus declared: "Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me. In my Father's house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also. And whither I go ye know, and the way ye know." -John 14:1-4

HE also says: "...I am the light of the world: he that followeth me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life." - John 8:12

This is your assurance that your expectations are certain in HIM. HIS promises concerning your life will be fulfilled. It will surely come to pass that which you're expectant of, in Christ Jesus.

Love Toward God

Wow! Loving HIM! Love toward HIM! Trusting in love toward God! Walking in HIS love! Giving love back to HIM your, God! Any how you want to look at it, beloved if you love HIM you will receive all things in HIM. The Bible says: "For surely there is an end; and thine expectation shall not be cut off." - Proverbs 23:18

Likewise Jesus gave us the "Key" saying: "...Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind. This is the first and great commandment. And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. On these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets." - Matthew 22:36-40

Beloved, I don't know about you, but as for me I LOVE THIS GOD! Hallelujah!!!

In HIS love, HE gave us HIS only begotten Son JESUS, that through HIM we might have life and life abundantly. Hence HE also make us heir of HIS throne. Wow! The Bible says: "And if children, then heirs; heirs of God, and joint-heirs with Christ; if so be that we suffer with him, that we may be also glorified together. For I reckon that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us." - Romans 8:17-18.

Our expectations has to be in HIS love. As our heavenly Father, HE blesses us in HIS love, HE cares for us and HE said HE will fulfill the desire of our hearts. God expect your love, willingly, obediently and sincerely. He will meet all your expectations. The Bible says: "So shall the knowledge of wisdom be unto thy soul: when thou hast found it, then there shall be a reward, and thy expectation shall not be cut off." - Proverbs 24:14

This week: Our expectations should be toward God. We should be highly expectant. Whatsoever you have been trusting from man in the pass, now let your trust be in Christ Jesus. Likewise don't grumble on the word of God or what God has bless you with.

For a believer Grumbling is the opposite of expectation, It's dispossess you of the blessings and promises of God for your life. (Hebrews 3:16-18, Hebrews 4:2, James 1:6-7)

Beloved! Go ahead this week and receive your expectations; walk in the miraculous! Manifest HIS glory in your life. Amen!

Remember the Bible says:"For every one that asketh receiveth; and he that seeketh findeth; and to him that knocketh it shall be opened." - Matthew 7:8
