It is interesting how most of us read "corrective" or "instructive" scriptures and think of how they apply to others. In fact, we often wish there was some way we could discretely pass it on to them.
Well, here is your chance because this one is a "double edged sword" and is meant for both people in ANY close relationship. This is a teaching for you to take to your heart and you can also forward it to those closest to you because they will see that you were instructed to do so. And, once they have read this, they will understand that you want to bless them and not to correct them.
"Therefore we also, since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which so easily ensnares us, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us"
The eyes of the world are now on the athletes at the world's greatest sports competition, the Olympics, where the victory is not in winning a medal but in just being there and competing. After all, everyone there had to be the best just to be selected to compete.
"For we are God's workmanship, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do"
There is a destiny in God and there is a destiny in the world, you will hear people say, what will be, will be. This is ignorance, whatever happens to you in life will be a result of what you determined, you have a lot more to do with your future than you realize. You have a lot to do with where you are at present in your life journey than you may know.
"My little children, of whom I travail in birth again until Christ be formed in you," Galatians 4:19.
Beloved, do you know that God wants you to be an influence for Him in our generation, He really wants us to affect people for Him with the gospel; and for us to do this we must be prayer-full. Prayer is a vehicle that carries our words to the right destination, which is into the heart of people.
1 Timothy 3:5 "If anyone does not know how to manage his own family, how can he take care of God's church?"
Most of us think of a ministry in the context of being a "minister" to others in God's work. However if we look at Jesus' ministry he spent most of his time "ministering" to his close friends and family. Sometimes we get so caught up in our "ministry" (job, career, talent) that we neglect those closest to us.
