Stomach pain can be caused by factors including diet and lifestyle, illness and infections.
According to the U.S. National Library of Medicine, the following actions can help prevent many stomach aches:
In Paul's epistle to the Philippians brethren, he counseled on what should constantly form their thoughts. He said:
"Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things." - Philippians 4:8.
The apostle Paul outlines what is supposed to be the thought of our hearts. Since this fall of man, the Bible repeatedly makes us to know that the heart of man is evil but God has made a way for man's heart to be purged.
"So they taught in Judah, and had the Book of the Law of the LORD with them; they went throughout all the cities of Judah and taught the people. And the fear of the LORD fell on all the kingdoms of the lands that were around Judah, so that they did not make war against Jehoshaphat."
Jehoshaphat depends on God in all his life. He trusts in the Lord and God blessed and strengthened him. We ought to lean on God in all we do as a person, as a family, in our career and business. We need to make God the center of our life. He gave his Son to restore us to be able to be closer to HIM. He already knows us like we know our children but he wants us to talk to him, and not do anything without Him.
It was a busy morning, about 8:30, when an elderly gentleman in his 80s arrived to have stitches removed from his thumb. He said he was in a hurry as he had an appointment at 9:00.
I took his vital signs and had him take a seat, knowing it would be over an hour before someone would be able to see him. I saw him looking at his watch and decided since I was not busy with another patient, I would evaluate his wound. On examining it I saw it was well healed, so I talked to one of the doctors and got the needed supplies to remove his sutures and redress his wound. While taking care of his wound, I asked him if he had another doctor's appointment this morning, as he was in such a hurry.
Too often we let our fears of what lies ahead keep us from receiving the full blessing that God has in store for us just like the Children of Israel did. Only two, Joshua and Caleb, saw the "Promise" and all the other spies saw the "Problems". The Bible says: "Seeing therefore it remaineth that some must enter therein, and they to whom it was first preached entered not in because of unbelief:"- Hebrews 4:6. They let their fears appear larger than God's provision and we know the price they paid for doing that.
At first, this doesn't make any sense... until you really think about it.
For there to be an abundance of anything, there has to also be a lack of something.
